In a resounding signal of support for the inaugural Asia/Oceania Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Law Conference being held in Perth in November, the Legal Practices Board of Western Australia has approved the conference as a CLE/CPD activity, with eligible delegates now able to attain up to seven points from attending.
An impressive line-up of speakers will lead the very first conference dedicated to travel, tourism, hospitality and the law.
This two-day event will provide exceptional insights from leading professionals on diverse and pertinent commercial, business and litigation law matters, providing a unique Australian and international perspective for delegates.
Sean Simmons - General Counsel & Company Secretary, Wotif Group; Masaru Sasaki - Legal Counsel, International Legal Affairs / for the JTB Group Japan; Dr Phil Cameron - Director of International Law Center and Distinguished Foreign Professor / Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade, School of Law (SIFT) and Michelle Sindler - Chief Executive Officer of Australian International Disputes Centre (AIDC) / Sydney Secretary-General of Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (ACICA) are just some of the speakers confirmed.
Well established conferences on tourism and law in the USA and Europe were the inspiration for Chair of the conference and Principal of Australian Travel and Tourism Lawyers,, Barrie Goldsmith to launch the event.
“Having attended numerous conferences in this field all over the world, I wondered, why didn’t we have something like this in the burgeoning region of Asia and Oceania?
“With significant increase in the number of tourist and business visitors from China, India and Indonesia, we have much to learn, share and discuss,” said Mr Goldsmith.
The conference will give national and international delegates the chance to sample the social scene of Perth with a sunset cruise on The Swan River, dinner at Perth Zoo and a gala dinner at Fremantle Prison.
Delegates are encouraged to book now to secure conference rates with participating hotels.
