Air Canada is the only airline to provide a daily nonstop service between Sydney and Vancouver, continuing to Toronto, same flight number same plane. AC34 is the fastest, most convenient and the most comfortable way to travel between Australia and Canada. GLOBAL NETWORK

Air Canada has an extensive global network, with hubs in three Canadian cities (Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver), providing scheduled passenger service directly to 59 Canadian cities, 59 destinations in the United States and 60 cities in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Mexico and South America.  Air Canada and its regional partners operate approximately 1,470 scheduled flights each day on average.  Through its strategic and commercial arrangements with Star Alliance partner airlines, Air Canada offers service to over 1,160 destinations in 181 countries and provides reciprocal top tier frequent flyer benefits.

New Services
In 2010, Air Canada inaugurated new non-stop services between Calgary and Tokyo, Toronto-Copenhagen and Montreal-Brussels, as well as adding non-stop flights to eight more U.S. destinations. From Toronto and Montreal, Air Canada also added new, seasonal summer service to Barcelona and Athens. Air Canada has launched new service to Mexico City from Vancouver, as well as resuming daily flights between Montreal and Mexico City. Air Canada has increased non-stop flights to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo Narita as well as Seoul from Vancouver. On May 1, 2011, Air Canada will introduce flights between Toronto Island City Airport and Montreal.

 

WHAT'S NEW
Modern, efficient and convenient gateways
New Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ) and Vancouver (YVR) trans-border airport facilities now offer Air Canada customers a more streamlined, customer-friendly experience. Dedicated transit facilities provide easier security clearance and smoother connections. These improvements also enable Air Canada to better serve customers travelling between the U.S., Europe, South America Australia and Asia via Canada.

 

Mobile services
Air Canada continues to expand its growing array of mobile services at http://mobile.aircanada.com. We have recently introduced Air Canada mobile+, simplifying the customer travel experience, at check in, for payments via mobile, and more.  A new mobile Cargo application has been introduced, making it easy to follow Cargo shipments and receive delivery notifications.

 

And since 2009, Air Canada customers can check their options and re-book themselves online using our new self service re-booking tool, in the event of cancelled or delayed flights. Australian passengers may choose their seat and check-in online.

 

Frequent flyer passengers are able to upgrade their flight through our kiosks or online access if they wish to use their points

 

New fleet and on-board features
In July 2009, Air Canada concluded the renewal of its fleet with the delivery of its 18th Boeing 777 aircraft.  In addition, Air Canada completed its fleet-wide refurbishment program, to offer a consistent onboard product on every aircraft. Concurrently, Air Canada became the first North American carrier to introduce lie-flat beds in all business class (Executive First) cabins across its international fleet.

Awards
In May 2010, Air Canada was ranked 'Best Airline North America' in a worldwide survey of more than 17 million airline passengers conducted by independent research firm Skytrax for its 2010 World Airline Awards. In 2010, Air Canada won five top honours in Business Traveler magazine's 'Best in Business Travel' annual reader survey: including 'Best Flight Attendants in North America.' Also in 2010, the readers of Global Traveler magazine voted Air Canada 'Best Airline in North America.'
