Bangkok Airways began operations in 1986 as Thailand's first privately owned domestic airline. Bangkok Airways has maintained highly efficient operations and first class service but also has ensured that safety is a major priority. They operate scheduled flights in 20 major routes, covering nearly all-major resort destinations of Thailand. The company also flies internationally to Siem Reap, Phnom-Penh, Hong Kong, Luang Prabang, Yangoon, Singapore and Male.
