::500 travel agents inspect Oceania Cruises - Nautica during AU/NZ itinerary::

e-Travel Blackboard, accompanied by NSW travel agents, were invited aboard Oceania Cruises vessel Nautica during its visit to Sydney yesterday. Part of a grueling series of Travel Agent inspections for the Oceania staff who will see over 500 consultants visit the vessel during its New Zealand and Australia itinerary.

Agents from Auckland, Hobart and Melbourne have already visited the 5 star vessel. Nautica departed Sydney yesterday, 100% sold out with approximately 25% of the 680 capacity been Australian, for a 21 day cruise Sydney to Bangkok. Enroute Nautica will visit Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns and Darwin where agents from those cities will get their turn to sample the fine cuisine and tour the boutique vessel.

Australia is the second largest market outside of America for Oceania Cruises "over the past 7 years growth has seen 10% of overall capacity driven from down under which we are really proud of" said Philippa Baker - Oceania Cruises General Manager, Australia.

European itineraries for 2010 are almost sold out but we are taking advance bookings for 2011. Cruise Office (Representative for Oceania Cruises in Australia) does not take direct bookings. "Our total advertising and marketing budget is spent on driving customers and sales through agents doors" said Craig Owens - Oceania Cruises National Sales Manager, Australia.

Peter Kollar - Cruise About Rose Bay said "he was extremely impressed with the quality and service of Oceania product compared to their 5-6 star counterparts. Excellent value, unbelievable itineraries that are diverse, exciting, visiting major destinations and smaller, remote ports that entice passengers to come back for return sailings".
