Partygoers celebrated the biggest Thirsty Thursdays this year as Breakaway Travelclub took over the reigns to host what was later heralded, the industry event of the year.
Over 300 travel industry professionals crammed into the Altitude Bar in the Shelbourne Hotel to join in on the fun and games, get free Breakaway Membership and of course, win some fantastic prizes.
Agents were made to work a little harder for their rewards this month, and after answering a few quick questions about the sponsors of the night from information in Breakaway’s new Brochure, they were in the draw to win fabulous prizes which included a trip to Hawaii flying Hawaiian, stays at Club Med and Shangri-la Cairns, car hire from Holiday Autos and a Vietnam holiday offered by Buffalo Tours.
In the meantime, guests were delighted with the variety of food that was on offer which had been kindly sponsored by Breakaway Travelclub and Club Med, who also gave away 100 free drink vouchers which had run out in a matter of minutes!
To add a bit of a Hawaiian flair to the evening, agents were forced to show off their Hula Hoop skills to win spot prizes after watching impromptu performances by all our sponsors.
Unfortunately the ones that were picked were not able to use it in the normal fashion, so the crowd were instead presented with some very original, creative and somewhat odd use of the hoop. The best of the lot walked away with a fantastic Insurance Policy courtesy of Breakaway and Long Flat wine from Cheviot Bridge.
There had to be more than luck on the side of the major prize winners this month, but those that did win were extremely excited to have walked away with plane tickets, accommodation, car hire, tours and more.
