Cremorne Point Manor Winds Accolade at HMAA Awards

Tuesday, 24 June 2008

Friday the 13th proved lucky for Cremorne Point Manor as the 3 star Budget Hotel was awarded Most Improved Hotel for 2008 at the HMAA Awards on the 13th of June.

The award from HMAA represents a team effort from three generations of the Freeman family who are new to the hospitality industry.

At first with the purchase of the hotel there were comments about Faulty Towers and other such comedies of errors as the family knew very little about running and managing a hotel.

All jokes aside the recent refurbishment of the hotel has garnered some pretty serious results which include an additional star and an increased return rate of guests up to 80%.

Cremorne Point Manor owner, Christianne Freemen said, “We could not believe we had won. There has been a great deal of work that has gone into the hotel over the last two years but we would never have expected anything like this. It could never have happened without the support of my family and the exceptional efforts from our hotel team.”

The restored 19th Century federation style hotel is set in a quiet, leafy location surrounded by harbor side reserve.

The hotel accommodates a range of guests from the budget traveller to the high-end traveller.

With all the hype and changes that have taken place the team at CPM have been careful not to loose sight of who it is that keeps them in business and each guest, from the affordable $79 per room guest to the harbour view room guests are treated to the personalized service and attention to detail.

Cremorne Point Manor have planned to undergo further refurbishments which will include the back of the house, upgrading the existing kitchen facilities, providing guests with a library and reading room and improved facilities for staff and guests.
