Gay website for Scandinavia launched by SAS
SAS Scandinavian Airlines have become the first European airline to demonstrate their commitment to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender/transsexual market with a dedicated gay website. The website is unique in its personalised aspect, providing a ‘gay’ counterpart to the popular SAS crew tips, offering tips from SAS’ own gay crew members on the best offerings in Stockholm and Copenhagen. The website, available at www.flysas.com/gay, has been launched in a timely fashion, corresponding with EuroPride celebrations that are taking place between July 30 and August 2. The event will be hosted by Stockholm, and next year, Copenhagen plans to host the World Out Games 2009. These affairs are a continuing reflection of the Scandinavian desire to embrace alternative sexuality, Scandinavia is the home market of SAS, and for this reason, SAS is both the Strategic Partner and official airline of the World Out Games 2009. The gay website from SAS is the result of a partnership with the Stockholm Visitors Board, Wonderful Copenhagen, Swedish publisher QX and Copenhagen Gay Life. The features of the website include gay maps, gay guides and an events calendar which is updated daily for both Copenhagen and Stockholm. |
