Stella appoints new Hervey Bay managers

THE Stella Hospitality Group has announced the appointment of new general managers for Hervey Bay properties BreakFree Great Sandy Straits and Mantra Hervey Bay.

Both general managers bring outstanding industry experience to their new roles in the Queensland holiday hotspot famed for its whale watching and proximity to World Heritage listed Fraser Island.

Geoffrey Nocher, who takes the helm at Mantra Hervey Bay, boasts nearly 20 years hospitality industry experience working in hotel management and as a chef.

Most recently Geoffrey worked on Hamilton Island as Chef de Cuisine and manager of the award winning Beach House restaurant. He also opened stages 1 and 2 of the Beach Club Resort, managed holiday letting and instigated successful events such as the Great Barrier Feast and the Moet Lunch.

He has also held positions at the Metro Inn Melbourne and Ayers Rock resort Sails in the Desert among others.

BreakFree Grand Sandy Straits benefits from the appointment of new general manager Sally Zentveld who brings a diverse background in sales and property management to the top job.

Prior to joining Stella, Sally worked with leading regional newspaper publisher APN as a sales executive with the Fraser Coast Chronicle.
