Holiday like royal on a luxury golf cruise

Monday, 9 March 2009

Picture this: You’re cruising the Mediterranean in style onboard a small luxury ship, drinking champagne, soaking up the sun, exploring ancient cities and enjoy lazy rounds of golf at the world’s top courses.

If this type of holiday sounds like the exclusive domain of film stars and royalty, think again.

Specialist Australian golf tour operator Golf Explorer has been announced as the preferred Australian partner for US-based golf cruise experts, Classic Golf Cruises.

Which means Golf Explorer is now packaging the ultimate golf cruises to Europe’s finest golf course, Valderrama Golf Club on the Costa del Sol, and the Sperone Golf Club in Corsica.

There is a combination of golf and sightseeing tours offered at each destination including the Adriatic, Spain and Morocco, the Greek Islands and Turkey, North America’s Great Lakes and South Africa.

Departure dates for Classic Golf Cruises run from late March through to December 2009 on luxury vessels ranging from the 34-guest Callisto to the 114-guest Corinthian II.

To celebrate this new partnership agents will receive a generous 15% commission on all Classic Golf Cruises booked through Golf Explorer until 30 April 2009.
Others Golf Explorer itineraries include:

· French Provence: unpack just the once as you cruise for six nights aboard the intimate, infinitely comfortable French barge Le Phenicien.

Package includes all meals, full open bar and five rounds of golf on courses designed by champions including Seve Ballesteros and Robert Trent Jones Jnr.

· Hawaii: nine-night package includes seven incredible rounds of golf on courses designed by the likes of Arnold Palmer and George Fazio, with three nights at the luxurious Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu and six nights aboard the Pride of America (offering no fewer than eight restaurants and 10 bars and lounges).

Golfers can customise their own holiday or choose from Golf Explorer’s extensive range of golf holiday packages at www.golfexplorer.com.au.
