Our Airline will now fly all Norfolk Air scheduled services, said Norfolk’s chief executive on Tuesday. CEO Jeff Murdoch released an official statement this week saying the change was due to Ozjet Airlines decision to terminate charter services to Norfolk Island. He added that the take over of Norfolk Air operations would not change advertised flight schedules. The Norfolk Island Government Minister, Neville Christian MLA, will now be responsible for the airline. Recently, Norfolk Air conducted on-island recruitment with the aim of obtaining Norfolk Island-based flight attendants trained and operational as soon as possible. Norfolk said Ozjet cabin crew also applied for positions, all of which had been successful. The airline said the move will act as an opportunity to move forward and be in a good position to develop its services in time for the revival of the global economy. |
