William Angliss Institute has won the title of ‘Best Registered Travel Industry Training Institution’ for the third year running, at the 2009 National Travel Industry Awards for Excellence.

Representatives from across the travel industry were among the 1,000 guests who attended the ceremony on Saturday night. The gala event was hosted by Channel Seven’s ‘The Morning Show’ host Larry Emdur at the Westin Hotel in Sydney.

Brendan Clennent, Manager from William Angliss Institute’s Travel department, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised for the third year running. It’s a wonderful feeling to be endorsed and rewarded for our work by contemporaries in the Industry. This kind of recognition goes to show that our strategic and innovative approach to training really works.”

The Institute is a dedicated training provider for the hospitality, tourism and foods industries with over 15,000 students trained at the main campus in Melbourne each year. Formed in 2005, Angliss Travel offers a range of customised training solutions and consultancy services for the Tourism sector that are built around client requirements and meet the needs of today's work environment.

Institute staff work closely with members of the tourism industry to ensure the provision of appropriate practical training for current workplace needs.
