Festive Philippines "wows" Thirsty Thursdays

The lure of Manila, Puerto Galera and Lagen Island drew industry faithfuls to this month’s Philippines themed Thirsty Thursdays held as usual at Sydney’s Shellbourne Hotel.

With major prizes including four hotel and land packages as well as two Sydney dining experiences up for grabs, and a slew of spot prizes including wine, USB sticks, table settings, books and photo frames – the odds were good that participants weren’t going home empty handed.

Networking ensued as participants received complimentary drinks courtesy of Breakaway Travel Club, and nibbled on finger food from the Philippines Department of Tourism.

While Oksana from Wahroonga Spanish Motel and Sharon from Wendy Wu Tours weren’t able to plot a time in their calendars for a holiday in the Philippines, the two were more than happy with their $100 dinning vouchers to AIH Group restaurants which include 360º in Sydney Tower as well as La Grillade in North Sydney.

Fourth prize winner Ditas from Air France–KLM will be able to enjoy the personalised butler service found at the Pan Pacific Manila as well as full breakfast buffets.

Third, Second and First prizes this month came courtesy of A1 Classic Holidays and will see Michelle from Carnival Australia, Zaia from Jetaround Holidays, and Monica from Cruise Co enjoying different areas of the Philippines including Manila, Puerto Galera and Lagen Island.
