JAL shell seat

Japan Airlines (JAL) announced Tuesday the introduction of Premium Economy services on the Toyko-Sydney route from the start of next month.

Premium Economy class on the once-daily flight will give passengers access to the airport lounge and 30kg baggage allowance as well as baggage priority.

It will also give travellers the chance to travel on JAL's Shell Flat Seat which has 20 percent more legroom than regular economy class.

The seat also possesses a 9-inch personal TV screen and has a shell-shaped sliding seat-back design giving passengers more privacy and no disturbances from the reclined seat in front.

Operated by a Boeing 777-200ER aircraft, the Toyko (Narita) - Sydney flight will offer the new Premium Economy class from 1 December 2009 with ticket sales and reservations now available.
