Credit Union beats the banks
Money Magazine Service Excellence Award The Qantas Staff Credit Union (QSCU) has been awarded the prestigious Money magazine’s Readers’ Choice Award for Service Excellence, defeating all financial institutions across Australia. CEO of the QSCU, Scott King, believes the ‘service excellence’ accolade is well overdue. “We have placed a particular emphasis on our customer interactions, and are proud of our staff for delivering such a first rate service to our clients,” says Scott. “Being in travel, our members work in a service industry, so they expect a high level of service themselves. “We’re often referred to as our members’ ‘best kept secret’ – although our members indicated they would be highly likely to recommend us in the Award nominations. “We’ve also created an intimate ‘Qantas Club’ feel to our branches, making staff and members alike feel more relaxed, something not easily achieved when talking about personal finances.” The QSCU will be celebrating its 50th anniversary next year, and has 80,000 members. QSCU membership is open to travel and leisure industry employees and their immediate families, as well as public servants from government agencies. Shortly, QSCU will be launching a new product which will also allow non-members to access high interest deposit facilities. The Qantas Staff Credit Union differs from banks and other financial institutions in that profits are returned to its members in the form of better deposit and loan interest rates, as well as through a suite of other product deliveries. |
