Travelport agents can now service their clients on the go, with Travelport introducing a new Mobile Agent app, connecting agencies to gain full access to the Galileo platform from a mobile device.
The mobile GDS application that is now available via Apple’s App Store will allow agents to book flights, add passenger details and make changes just as they would normally through the GDS.
Travelport vice president of product innovation Jason Nash said the company was delighted to be able to bring this product to the industry, delivering on the strategy to launch new, innovative solutions for customers worldwide.
Travel agents have commented on the new software as being hugely advantageous in today’s mobile world, being able to manage travel bookings on the move.
“We are delighted to see Travelport offering innovative mobile solutions that enable us to enhance the service we offer to our customers and improve our processes,” one agent said.
The Travelport Mobile Agent app is the latest edition in the company’s innovative mobile applications, which also include the successful global launch of Travelport ViewTrip Mobile and Travelport’s mobile traveller itinerary application.
